Things to do · Marrakech
Marrakech and Casablanca are about 240 km apart, linked by a toll motorway and a direct rail line. The ONCF train is the simplest choice, at a little under three hours; a private car takes about 2 hours 45 minutes door to door; coaches are cheaper and slower. Here is how each works, including getting to Casablanca airport.

Not yet. Al Boraq, Morocco's high-speed line, currently runs between Tangier and Casablanca, and an extension towards Marrakech is under construction. For now, Marrakech–Casablanca trains run on the conventional line.
There is no direct train from Marrakech to Mohammed V airport: you change in Casablanca for the airport shuttle train, so allow plenty of time before an international flight. A private transfer drives straight to the terminal.
CTM and Supratours coaches run between the two cities. They are usually the cheapest option and comfortable enough, but slower than the train, especially when traffic builds in Casablanca.
A private transfer covers the 240 km on the toll motorway in about 2 hours 45 minutes, from your riad to your hotel or the airport, with luggage handled. Fares are fixed per vehicle and listed under Transfers on this site.
The motorway is fast and well signed, with toll booths along the way. The harder part is city driving and parking in central Casablanca, so many visitors return a hire car before entering the city.
Casablanca works as a long day out from Marrakech by train or car: the Hassan II Mosque, which offers guided tours for non-Muslim visitors, the Corniche and the Art Deco centre. Expect five to six hours of travel in total.
Solo or on a budget: the train, booked a day ahead in busy periods. Heading for a flight with luggage, or travelling as a family: a private car to the terminal. On a tight budget with time to spare: the coach.
