Good to know

Practical notes

  • The Atlas day is the reason for the fourth day — Ourika is the easier option, Imlil the more dramatic one.
  • A private driver-guide makes the mountain day comfortable; the roads are winding.
  • Keep day four loose so it can flex around your flight time.

Frequently asked

Is 4 days enough for Marrakech and the Atlas?

Yes — four days covers the whole city (medina, palaces, gardens, hammam) and a full High Atlas day in the Ourika Valley or Imlil, without ever feeling rushed.

Which Atlas day trip is best from Marrakech?

The Ourika Valley (about an hour) is the easiest, with waterfalls and Berber villages. Imlil, the gateway to Mount Toubkal, is a little further but more spectacular for walkers.
