Overview
A big full-day drive over the Tizi n'Tichka pass to the UNESCO ksar of Aït Ben Haddou and the film studios of Ouarzazate — Morocco's 'Hollywood of the desert'.
One of the great drives in Morocco, and a long one — count on roughly 4 hours each way. The road climbs the High Atlas via the spectacular Tizi n'Tichka pass (2,260m), with hairpins, photo stops and Berber tea houses, before dropping into the pre-Saharan south.
The prize is Aït Ben Haddou: a honey-coloured fortified village of earthen kasbahs rising above the Ounila river, UNESCO-listed and instantly familiar from Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator and Game of Thrones. We cross to explore the ksar with a local guide, then visit nearby Ouarzazate and its Atlas Film Studios. It's a demanding day on the road — but unforgettable. Back in Marrakech late.

Yes. Every itinerary is a starting point. Add a day, swap a riad, change the start city — we'll re-quote in 24 hours and lock the price in writing before any deposit.
How fit do I need to be?
Easy. Light walking on medina cobblestones, plus optional activities you can opt in or out of on the day.
