Marrakech to Merzouga transfer: FAQ

How long is the drive from Marrakech to Merzouga?

It is 560 km on the map, and a private transfer is about 8h 30 behind the wheel via Tizi n'Tichka, Ouarzazate & the gorges, before you add any photo or rest stops. On the longer hauls we pace the day with breaks and never hurry a mountain pass.

How much does a private Marrakech to Merzouga transfer cost?

Every transfer is priced in a written quote within 24 hours: one agreed, all-in fare for a sedan (1–3 guests), a 4x4 (up to 6) or a minivan (up to 7), depending on your date and stops. Fuel, tolls, your driver and bottled water are all in. A 30% deposit confirms your booking; cancellation and refunds follow Serenity Morocco Tours' booking terms.

Can we stop for photos or sightseeing along the way?

Of course — stopping where you please is the whole point of a private car over the train or a shared shuttle. On this run we can break at Tizi n'Tichka, Ouarzazate & the gorges and any viewpoint that catches your eye. Want a guided stop? We will quote that as a day tour instead.

Is it better to drive or take the train from Marrakech to Merzouga?

No useful train runs this way, so a private car — a 4x4 where the road turns rough — is the comfortable option: door to door, pausing wherever you like.
