The short answer
Yes, as part of a northern loop, but not as a quick add-on. Chefchaouen is at the opposite end of the country, roughly 600 km and seven to eight hours from Marrakech by road, with no direct train or bus. It pairs naturally with Fes and Tangier. Give it two nights and it offers mountain air, quiet and a small blue medina.
In more detail
Chefchaouen is not a city of grand monuments on the scale of Fes or Marrakech. Its reward is atmosphere: a medina you can cross on foot in twenty minutes, lanes washed in every shade of blue, the café-lined Place Uta el-Hammam, and the most relaxed pace in Morocco. The Rif mountains around it are some of the best walking country in the north.
From Marrakech, most travellers fly or take the train to Fes, then go north by road, about 3h30. Alternatively, fly to Tangier and drive about two hours south. Driving the whole way from Marrakech is possible, but it uses a full day each way.
If you have only a week, Chefchaouen fits a northern itinerary with Fes and Meknes better than a southern one with the Sahara. On a ten-day or longer trip, it slots in after Fes.
