The short answer
Yes. Iftar, which Moroccans call ftour, is the meal that breaks the Ramadan fast at sunset, and many riads will gladly lay a place for guests at the iftar table if you ask. The spread runs to dates, milk or water, harira, chebakia, boiled eggs, msemen, baghrir and sellou. Ramadan 2027 is expected to run from about 8 February to about 9 March.
In more detail
Ask your riad a day or two ahead. Be at the table a little before sunset, because the fast is broken the moment the call sounds, and eat a date first; that is how the fast is broken. Accept a chebakia with your harira: it is part of the meal, not a dessert.
The half-hour before sunset is one of the strangest and most beautiful moments in the city. The streets empty as everyone gets home or to a table, and Marrakech goes quiet together. Many local restaurants close in the late afternoon and early evening while families eat.
After ftour and evening prayers, the city comes back to life. Families fill Jemaa el-Fnaa and the souks, and from about 21:00 the square is as busy as in peak season. Shops open late in the day and trade into the night.
