The short answer
Yes. Most riads will add touches when you tell them the occasion in advance: rose petals, a tray of pastries, a private terrace dinner. Many luxury riads have chefs who will cook for two by arrangement. A sunset dinner in the Agafay desert, a hammam for two or a sunrise balloon flight make the day. Tell us early.
In more detail
Riads are good at quiet gestures. They are small, with a handful of rooms and a team who arrange things for you. Tell your riad the occasion before you arrive and most will add something: petals across the bed, pastries, a private dinner on the roof terrace under the stars. Very few have formal packages; it tends to be more personal than that.
For the main event, the desert is the favourite. Agafay is about 40 minutes from the medina, with stone hills, a camel ride if you want one, and a candlelit table under a very dark sky. Our Agafay sunset trip ends with dinner in camp around the fire.
Other ideas: a private couples' session at a riad or spa hammam, with steam, black soap and rhassoul clay, followed by an oil massage; a sunrise balloon flight over the plains with the Atlas in view and breakfast in a Berber tent; or a rooftop dinner facing the Koutoubia.
Our trips are private, so the day bends around a surprise. Tell us the date, what you have in mind and how secret it is.
