A half-day escape to the lunar Agafay stone desert just 40 minutes from Marrakech — camel ride or quad biking, sunset over the Atlas, and dinner in a desert camp with music.
You don't need to drive nine hours to the Sahara for a desert evening. The Agafay is a rolling expanse of bone-dry hills and cracked clay just 30km southwest of Marrakech, with the snow-capped Atlas as a backdrop — and the light at sunset is extraordinary.
We collect you in the afternoon, and you choose your adrenaline: a gentle camel caravan over the ridges, or a guided quad-bike circuit through the dust. As the sun drops behind the mountains you settle into a stylish desert camp for a three-course Moroccan dinner around the fire, with Berber drumming and a sky full of stars. Back at your riad by late evening.
