The short answer

Yes. March brings highs of about 23 °C, lows of about 10 °C, blossom and green foothills, with snow still on the Atlas peaks. In 2027 the first week or so is the end of Ramadan, with Eid al-Fitr expected about 9 to 10 March. After Eid, the spring season starts in earnest.

In more detail

Our weather notes mark March for almond blossom in the Atlas and "some rainy days". It is warm enough for long days in the medina and cool enough for walking in the mountains, and the desert is at its best.

Ramadan 2027 is expected to end around 9 March, followed by Eid al-Fitr, about 9 to 10 March and possibly into the 11th depending on the moon. Eid is a family holiday: many small shops and local restaurants close for a day or two, and buses and trains are busy as people travel. Riads and hotels keep running.

Late March then fills fast. Easter Sunday is 28 March 2027, and European school holidays run roughly from 26 March to 11 April. In the deep south, M'Hamid hosts a nomad festival each March. If you want spring weather without the Easter rush, mid-March is a good window. Pack a light jumper and a rain layer for the occasional wet day.
