The short answer
Light layers. Days in spring and autumn run from the low 20s to about 30 °C, and evenings cool off, so pack T-shirts and light trousers, a jumper or fleece for rooftops and the Agafay, and a light rain jacket for the odd shower. Add a warmer layer for a Sahara night or an Atlas day.
In more detail
Our seasonal notes give spring, March to May, about 20 to 30 °C by day, and autumn, September to November, about 22 to 32 °C, falling through the season. That means warm walking weather in the medina, and a noticeable drop after sunset. A jumper or light fleece covers a rooftop dinner.
Rain is light but possible. March and April see some rainy days and occasional showers, and October and November bring the first showers of the season. A packable rain jacket and shoes with grip on wet lanes are enough.
Trips out of the city need more. Desert nights are cool in spring and autumn and can be cold by late November, and the High Atlas is colder than the city, with snow on the peaks into spring. If you are heading to Merzouga or Imlil, add a warm layer and a hat. Sun cream and sunglasses stay useful all year.
