The short answer
Usually at your riad or hotel, or on a day pass. Many riads have a plunge pool, and garden restaurants and day-pass resorts around the Palmeraie combine lunch with a proper swim. Many Agafay desert camps also sell day passes with pool access and a Moroccan lunch, about 40 minutes from the city.
In more detail
In summer, Marrakech afternoons can top 40°C, so a pool is part of a family plan rather than a luxury. The usual rhythm is sightseeing in the cooler morning, a pool or shaded garden over midday, and out again in the early evening.
If you are choosing a riad with young children, ask about the depth of the courtyard pool and how it is supervised, and about the stairs, which are often steep and open-sided. A riad plunge pool is for cooling off; for real swimming, a hotel or resort pool is better.
Some all-inclusive Palmeraie resorts sell day passes and have family pools with slides and paddling areas. Tell us the children's ages and we can suggest a day that ends at a pool.
