The short answer

Yes, especially for younger children. The garden is compact and shaded, with cacti, bamboo and koi-filled pools that hold their attention, and 45 to 60 minutes is enough. Book a timed ticket from the official seller, and take the first slot of the day to beat both the heat and the queues.

In more detail

When we checked in October 2026, the garden opened daily at 08:00, with last entry at 17:00, and timed tickets were sold only through tickets.jardinmajorelle.com. Later slots get busy, and the paths, though level, are narrow in places, which makes a crowd harder with small children.

Next door, the Yves Saint Laurent museum is a modern, step-free building that suits older children with an interest in fashion or design; it was closed on Wednesdays when we checked. The museum of Amazigh arts in the Majorelle villa is a short extra visit, open 08:30 to 17:00 when we checked.

Majorelle is in Gueliz, about ten minutes by petit taxi from Jemaa el-Fnaa. The wide avenues around it are easier with a pushchair than the medina, and the cafés of Gueliz are close for a break afterwards.

Good to know

  • Book the 08:00 slot in warm months.
  • Keep a hand on small children by the pools.
  • Pair it with a Gueliz café rather than the souks.
